Manager, Analytics

Position Summary

The Analytics Manager is responsible for reporting on and analyzing client marketing data, and translating that analysis into strategic marketing recommendations. This position requires that one has an understanding of database construction and use as well as statistical concepts. The Analytics Manager must understand the job functions of IT, marketing and finance employees for Kessler and for clients, and is responsible for bringing each group together to create successful marketing efforts.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of analytic and database work experience
  • Experience working within Oracle or Crystal reports is preferred
  • Able to use statistical database query tools along with developing reports
  • Strong understanding of statistical concepts and their analytical applications (SAS or SPSS)
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Access
  • Prior experience in direct response (direct mail and outbound telemarketing) industry or financial services

Education

  • BA /BS required, MBA preferred; relevant coursework in Marketing and Statistics

VP, Client Services

Position Summary

TKG is seeking to build its presence on the West Coast, where we have a number of important client relationships. Specifically, we are looking for someone to drive the execution of a turnaround program on our most important affinity credit card relationship. We are also looking for an individual to support and drive business development activities with at least one other Top 8 client headquartered on the West Coast. This position will be an exciting and challenging combination of get-it-done execution and negotiation/business development experience. The successful candidate will build formidable influencing and change-management skills and will play a central role in driving on the ground impact.

Qualifications

  • Three years post-MBA in strategy consulting, investment banking or strategic planning role
  • Financial services background, particularly in the retail banking/debit card space is desired
  • An entrepreneurial mentality, i.e., ability to influence and build relationships at all levels and build excitement around a growth blueprint.
  • Singular tenacity and focus on driving execution and finding resourceful ways to move things forward.
  • Ability to operate standalone with limited oversight in a competitive and fast moving corporate environment.

Education

  • M.B.A. required (or equivalent experience)

Note

This position is located on the West Coast, mainly San Francisco and San Jose area, with occasional travel back to HQ in Boston for meetings and other business development activities.

VP, Corporate Development

Position Summary

The individual in this role will work with executive management and other stakeholders to build businesses within The Kessler Group that are successful and results-driven. The Vice President of Corporate Development will be responsible for understanding the competitive dynamics of each of the Kessler Group’s businesses, recognizing new opportunities, developing new business initiatives, and implementing corporate and business level strategies for the company.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in strategy consulting, strategic planning, or corporate/ partner development in a post-MBA role.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical abilities.
  • An understanding of, and facility with, financial statements.
  • An entrepreneurial mentality, i.e., comfort with new situations, rapid decision making and flexible organizational processes.
  • An exceptionally bright and articulate individual with sophisticated presentation and client management skills.
  • The ability and passion to sell ideas and concepts to various constituencies, internal and external to the organization.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly in credit card and consumer lending, is a plus but not required.
  • Proficient with all major desktop software applications and the Internet.

VP, Office of the Chairman

Position Summary

The Vice President, Office of the Chairman will work directly with Howard Kessler evaluating new business opportunities with current and potential new clients. He or she will have a bird’s eye view on all aspects of the company’s business, strategies, management and operations. This is a “tried and true” role at the Kessler Group and a routine route for executive entry into the company; several of the company’s senior-most executives have started their careers in this role.
